Younger beam of the sun

preview Younger beam of the sun Concept art Concept art
Sun-worshipers are militant fanatics worshipping the star. The younger ones are dressed in a rigid cervical corset that forces them to hold their head proudly. Such position is considered to let the energy of the sun fill the adherent with the will of the star. The corset itself does not allow the novice to incline in defeat, since hiding the face in the shadow is an insult to the star, worshippers believe. This corset is made of the strongest material and thus protects the neck from being vulnerable. In combat the Sun-worshipers often use telescopic or jet-enabled spear-harpoons. This lightning weapon is surprisingly effective but requires fuel or other power source to operate. The order of the monks Sun-worshipers is not afraid of using technology and has been especially successful in prosthetics. The most dangerous and skilled soldiers of the order who lost their finitenesses in combat are often supplied with artificial limbs which are far superior to the natural finitenesses. Artificial legs, for instance, allow the monk soldiers to leap at huge distances or run at an enormous speed. To prevent injuries due to high load on the backbone the "leapers" use the duplicating mechanical backbone. They cover their armor with copper and their clothes are divided into two colors. This serves a symbol of inherence of light and darkness. Young monks who haven't yet warmed the soil with blood of twenty enemies of the order are called younger beams of the Sun. Strictly speaking Sun-worshiper is a completely illiterate translation from the internal dialect of the order because its adherents do not incline before anything. However this name is known most commonly around the world.
